Returns Policy

We want all our customers to be 100% satisfied, that is why we offer 30 day returns on all goods.

Simply return the items back to us within 30 days of delivery in their original condition with all the packaging it came in to get a 100% refund, no bull.

NO hidden restocking fees, NO credit card charges. Just a 100% refund!

To qualify all Diamonds, Gemstones and Pearls and other goods must not be unsealed, set, scratched, chipped, fractured, weigh differently, damaged, or otherwise altered in any way.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods arrive in the stated condition and we accept no responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit on return to us. For high value consignments we recommend insuring the items. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the goods do not comply with the above conditions.

All refunds will be processed within 2 business days of receiving the return pending inspection of compliance with the conditions stated above. Depending on your financial institution and method of payment it may take up to a week to receive the funds to your account.

For goods which are not as described or if you receive the wrong item by mistake, we will provide you with a prepaid return shipping label. Simply contact us and we will help resolve the issue ASAP!.

Shipping Policy

We ship all our gems insured via Auspost, one of the few low-cost carriers to deliver to almost every address on earth that also provides an insurance policy which extends to cover all our precious gem consignments. Tracking information may not be available in every country but we will try our best to assist you with any queries you may have.

Clarity Grading

Diamonds are well known for their internationally recognised grading system, there is no standardised or official method to analyse clarity in semi-precious and precious gems. At Priceless Gems we analyse gems at eye level into four different categories, using nomenclature common in the industry:

 

Clarity Grading
VVS/VVS+	Very Very Slightly Included/Internally Flawless Gems in this category are generally internally perfect/flawless to the naked eye from a distance of a few inches. These gems can be considered “Eye Clean”.
VS	Very Slightly Included These gems may have inclusions that are visible to the naked eye or with the aid of magnification, however they are still in the top 25% of quality we sell.
SI	Slightly Included These gems have inclusions that are visible to the naked eye, we find however they often add character and imbue the stone with an element of randomness provided by nature!
I	Included These gems are heavily included or opaque in clarity, these are the lowest clarity graded gems we sell and often the cheapest!

 

Gemstone clarity is also graded on a comparative basis, for instance natural emeralds are rarely “eye clean” therefore a VVS/VVS+ Emerald may have inclusions visible to the naked eye whereas a VVS/VVS+ Quartz may be internally flawless. Please refer to images provided for the best assessment of clarity and inclusions.

 

Treatment Policy:

The majority of gemstones traded internationally have undergone some form of treatment. While we strive to ensure all treatments are disclosed, given the rapid nature of change in the industry as well as the tightly controlled trade secrets from primary suppliers no guarantee can be made that the treatments are disclosed in full. In general, some of the common enhancement methods used are: Oiling, Heating, Cavity Filling, Irradiation, Lasering etc. We do not often know the precise methods used prior to our purchase from suppliers since each supplier and different countries use different methods. If requested, we may send the Gemstone(s) to an independent Gem laboratory, however this can incur significant cost, often in excess of the gem itself.
